In September, I rode the high speed train from Rome to Florence to spend the day touring the two campuses of Polimoda. The Villa campus, located next to the US Consulate, over looking the river Arno, is about a ten-minute walk from the train station.

The impression I got from learning about the campus and programs is that storytelling is at the heart of all the disciplines and practices taught at NABA. Education is not just an opportunity to develop a set of artistic skills, but also a chance to learn how to apply those skills to specific projects with purpose.

In June, I visited the School of Visual Arts in New York. I had the great fortune to visit facilities dedicated to Film, 3D Animation and Visual Effects, Interior Design: Built Environments majors, gallery and exhibition spaces, the library and student housing.
